Robert's Story
Robert K. Wall is passionate about the Kenai Peninsula. As early as 8 years old, he told his Chicago family that he was going to move to Alaska. After earning his BA in Geology from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, he followed through on his promise and, at age 22, moved to Sterling, Alaska in 1981.

Robert has worked in the oil industry for over 40 years, starting out as a well site geologist, and then progressing to MWD Engineer, Directional Drilling Specialist, and now Drill Site Manager. He has directly worked many of the “firsts” in the industry, drilling the first horizontal well, the longest, and even the fastest succession of wells.
As Drill Site Manager, Robert oversees the execution of multi-million dollar projects and manages daily operations involving hundreds of employees. He also owns his own consulting business, Top Performance Drilling. Robert’s professionalism, attention to detail, and compliance to safety standards is known and respected industry wide.
Within his community, Robert serves as board member for the Homer Electrical Association (as Vice President), the Kenai Peninsula Borough Road Service Area, the Sterling Community Club, and the Sterling Senior Center Endowment Board. He is past president of the Kenai Peninsula Farm Bureau and the Sterling Community Coalition Group. Robert is a leader in his church and volunteer in his community and neighborhood.

Robert been blessed to live out his Alaskan dream. Upon arrival, he purchased his 40 acres with a rustic cabin. Once he improved that, Robert built his current home and cultivated his farmland out of the wilderness. He owned and operated the fishing tender Evelyn S out of Valdez and Homer for many years.
Now from their farm, Robert and his wife Renae sell honey and rhubarb to Alaskan businesses in Anchorage and the Kenai Peninsula. Their daughter Mariah lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband Carlen. Robert enjoys fishing, hunting, mining, and boating.
